The publication had a long-standing archive; the real difficulty was not the content itself but settling that archive into a new structure without losing search visibility. URL mapping and the sitemap were placed at the centre of the migration.
Articles are produced from a single source and published in seven languages. Language versions are linked to one another, so a reader can jump directly to the equivalent article in their own language.
An account and comment layer was added on top of the publication; reader profiles, the registration flow and moderation all run on the same infrastructure.
